Paddock Point Community Pool Rules

Location: 1436 Trotting Ave, Roebuck, SC 29376

Pool Open: May 1 - September 30

Pool Hours:

• July: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• August: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• September: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (or dusk, whichever occurs first)

Notice: Swim at your own risk - no lifeguard on duty.

Age Requirement: No person under 18 is allowed in the pool area unsupervised.

The following rules and regulations are designed for the safety and well-being of the entire community. Parents are solely responsible for the behavior of their children, regardless of physical presence. Anyone who presents a constant problem at the pool may have pool privileges suspended. The Board of Directors and/or the Management Company have full authority to enforce these rules and may temporarily close the pool if use is unsafe (for example: storms, contamination, foreign matter, unsafe chlorine readings, or similar conditions).

Safety and Health Regulations (DHEC Mandated)

These regulations are mandated by DHEC for the state of South Carolina. Violations can result in pool closure and/or fines.

• No solo swimming and no diving.
• No running, pushing, boisterous, or rough play in the pool, pool deck, or cabana area.
• No person under the influence of drugs or alcohol may use the pool.
• No spitting or blowing nose in the pool.
• People with diarrhea, illness, or nausea may not enter the pool.
• People with skin, eye, ear, respiratory infections, or communicable diseases may not enter the pool.
• People with open lesions or wounds may not enter the pool.
• No animals or pets are allowed in the pool or pool area, except approved service animals.
• No glass or dangerous objects may be brought into the pool, pool deck, or cabana area.
• No children may be in the pool without supervision.
• Please take a shower before entering the pool.

Additional HOA Health and Safety Rules

• No smoking in the pool, pool deck, or bathroom area. Vaping is permitted on the pool deck. No illegal substances.
• No eating in the pool.
• No riding skateboards, roller skates, inline skates, hoverboards, bikes, or scooters on the pool deck.
• Alcoholic beverages must be concealed in a koozie (no glass containers). Anyone behaving intoxicated will be asked to leave.
• No pool parties unless previously arranged and authorized by the HOA.
• No profanity, abusive, lewd behavior, or threatening language in the pool or cabana area.
• Anyone entering the pool must have proper, acceptable swimwear. For non-toilet-trained children or incontinent persons, a clean, close-fitting diaper with a plastic outer covering and elastic at waist and legs is recommended. Disposable swim diapers are suitable but not required.
• Please remember this is a family-friendly facility and dress accordingly.
• Public displays of affection are not welcome in this family-friendly facility.
• During electrical storms, the pool must be evacuated. Re-entry should not occur until at least 30 minutes after the storm has ended.
• For safety reasons, no person under age 18 should be left unsupervised in the pool or pool area.
• Children under age 6 must be accompanied on the pool deck, in the swimming area, and to the bathroom by an adult (18+).
• Grills are not permitted inside the pool gates.
• No one may enter the pool without a valid pool fob. No exceptions.
• Replacement fobs are available through the Management Company at a cost of $25.00 per tag.
• No loitering is permitted.
• Removal of any property from the pool area is strictly prohibited.

Housekeeping Rules

• Please dispose of all trash and food items and remove personal items upon exiting.
• The Board and/or the Management Company are not responsible for lost, found, abandoned items, or chemically damaged clothing.
• Acceptable pool play items must be designed specifically for pool use. Floats/rafts/boats designed to hold more than one person are not permitted. Balls not designed for pool use (for example footballs, volleyballs, golf balls) are not permitted.
• Music should be played at an acceptable volume. Be courteous and avoid loud or inappropriate music.

Enforcement and Access Policy

Paddock Point HOA reserves the right to revoke homeowner or household pool access for misuse or non-compliance. Damage to pool property will be billed to the responsible homeowner and will result in suspension of pool privileges for the household.

• Guests are limited to 4 per household. Paddock Point residents cannot be considered guests.
• When guests are present, at least one adult (18+) living in a Paddock Point home (or lessee) must be in attendance.
• Violations: 1st offense = 1 week suspension; 2nd offense = 2 weeks suspension; 3rd offense = rest of season.
• Anyone granting access to people without a pool fob will be suspended for the rest of the season.
• Suspensions in the last 2 weeks of the season carry over to next season.
• A "rest of season" suspension in the last 4 weeks of season carries over as a 30-day suspension at the start of next season.

Community Policy Statements

• Pool rules are established by the Paddock Point Board. Activity will be monitored, and violations/fines will be enforced.
• All people use the pool at their own risk. Paddock Point HOA assumes no responsibility for injury or damages from use.
• Pool use is a privilege, not a right, of Paddock Point community membership.
• Pool rules exist for community safety and a family-friendly environment.
• Any person not following pool rules will be asked to leave the pool area.
